abuse case
The assumption behind child-placement is that the safety and living conditions of a child improve. These cases demonstrate that this assumption is often invalid.

There is often a fine line between adoption and child trafficking. In many cases this line is being crossed.

Adoption is assumed to be the result of a choice made by the parents of the child. These cases demonstrate women are pressured to give up their children.

Adoptions before 1997, didn't automatically lead to naturalization. As result, people adopted from outside the outside US that ran into problems with the justice system face deportation to their country of birth.

Although the adoptive family is called the "forever family" by the adoption industry, adoptions can end in disruption. These cases demonstrate that the "forever family" is sometimes only temporary
father's rights violation case
Adoption requires the consent of both biological parents. These cases demonstrate that the rights of fathers in adoption cases are being violated.
wrongful medication case
Children in foster care can have serious mental health issues. Too often these children are given large doses of psychotropic medications, just to keep them quiet.
wrongful removal case
The removal of children from their family's should always be a last resort. These cases demonstrate that Child Protective Services sometimes remove children for all the wrong reasons

Girl (age unknown) was sexually and physically abused by her adoptive father and his son. The adoptive mother, Glenda N., failed to protect the girl.

As a result Glenda N. informed authorities that she no longer wanted Jaclyn in her home due to the possible risk she believed Jaclyn posed to her younger sibling as well as Glenda's unborn child.

Two 4 year old girls, nicknamed BaoBao and BeiBei were found chained to a water pipe. Their adoptive father returned once each day to feed them. Two more girls nicknamed Sisi and Lele, either both 6 or 3 & 6 yrs old were found at Yang's mother's house. Two the girls have been returned to their bio families, the other 2 are now in the Juijang SWI. All 4 were adopted as infants.

6-year-old boy adopted by Randal and Christine Arnold was beaten, pushed down the stairs,  and starved, to the point that the boy only weighed 30 pounds. At age three the boy had weighed 31 pounds. He had starvation induced lanugo hair growth. Upon examination doctors also found various straight line, u-shaped and horseshoe type markings across the boys body consistent with the buckle of a belt found at the house.

Christine Arnold was found guilty and sentenced to 22 years. Randal Arnold was found guilty and sentenced to 18 years.

Dino Cardelli, a pastor of a Calvary Chapel church is charged with repeatedly sexually molesting a 13, now 14 yo adopted daughter, as well as molesting a 2nd child, and beating 2 disabled children with a stick. In Jan 2010, his wife Nancy Cardelli learned of the sexual abuse of the 13 yo, confided in a friend, eventually separated from her husband and then commited suicide in March. She didn't report the abuse to the authorities.

Thirteen year old girl adopted from Haiti by Tony and Michelle Dittenber was sent to 3 other homes starting 9 months after her adoption. She was at 2 Ohio homes including 17 months with Jean Paul Kruse and Emily Kruse. Dittenbers had 4 bio children and 5 children adopted from Haiti.

A girl with HIV, adopted from Ethiopia in Feb 2009 at 4 years old, was disrupted 18 months later due to behavioral issues. There were 4 bio and 1 other adopted children in the home; at least 1 child was younger than the adoptee from Ethiopia. It was reported the girl was acting out in violent and sexual ways. She was diagnosed with reactive attachment disorder.

6 year old boy only allowed in the house for meals, was beaten with switches, and had to sleep in the laundry room with the dogs. He was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries to his head, legs and body, after being in the home about 1 1/2 years. Three other children in the home were adopted as infants. Mikelann Renwick is a Worship & Creative Arts Pastor of a Holiness church.

Two girls were sexually abused by their adoptive father for 6 years. The girls were "loaned" to pedophiles Colin Molloy and Samuel Nelson with the adoptive mother's full knowledge.

Three children, Feven, Meskerem and Bethelem, were adopted through Better Future Adoption Services. While their parents were alive, they were allegedly declare foundlings and given different last names.
