A $10,000 bond was continued for a man accused of conning a Custer woman into giving them her child.
Jason A. Dolski, 30, appeared in Portage County Court via closed circuit television Tuesday.
Dolski is charged with abduction of another's child, unauthorized placement of adoption, false statement on a birth certificate and neglecting a child. His wife, Bobbi Jo Dolski, 32, faces the same charges, as well as drug charges as the result of an investigation in May into illegal drug activity at their Stevens Point home.
The 14-month-old is reported to be in foster care and doing well.
The child’s biological mother, Amanda M. Zblewski, 27, is charged with false statement on a birth certificate.
Police say the couple offered Zblewski $3,000 sometime in her pregnancy for her child. Zblewski gave Jason Dolski full custody of the child in June 2008.
The couple has tried twice to get a child before their arrest. Four years ago, the couple was raising a child whose mother was addicted to drugs and later refused to give the child back. The biological mother later got custody.
