This maternity home is run by Katheryn Turner.  They have to be inspected every 6-9 months.  They got their license in 1996.

LifeHouse has been ministering in the Houston area since 1988 when a group of committed believers from First Presbyterian Church joined together to open a Christ-centered maternity home. 

The basis of our ministry comes from James 1:27 (Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world) and Matthew 22:36-39 (“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”)  As the church we proclaim that abortion is not an option – and this is true – but we do not always provide assistance to those mothers who do choose Life for their baby.  In the almost 20 years of ministry we have shown the love of Christ to over 400 women and their precious unborn babies – these girls/women are our heroes.
