Dear I-childers,

I am new to this group. I have adopted two girls from AP in 2000 and my whole life has changed since that experience. I am so glad I have them and they thought me a lot in the meantime. Especially I am more than grateful to be able to help now. Thank to my husband I could give u my job and could found the first Austrian organisation which helps families to adopt from India and other countries. We work now since autumn 2000. We are three adoptive mothers and social workers and we love our work almost as much as we love our kids. We are working with Preet Mandir since almost two years and I cannot find anything about the place which would re mind me of a bad place! Me and some families where there for several times and we have a lot of video coverage as well. we never were not allowed to get into places or not to film or not to take photographs, I do feel sorry for people who made a bad experience and then everything seemed to be bad, but what I saw was never ever in the way it was described here earlier. we are glad we can work with Preet Mandir and our families are happy. I would like to quote the three families who have adopted from there already but are hardly able to speak English:

We were treated with respect. Especially we liked the handing over ceremony. it was a very moving moment in the live of us and our daughters! we will never forget the warm welcome we had and want to come back with our daughters when the time is mature for them. W saw other kids waiting for their prospective families to get them and do hope that they will soon be able to have the same experience.

I can only say that this what Austrians saw at Preet Mandir and it was a good experience!
