If married however, the other parent must be at least 16 years older than the adopted child. Taiwanese regulations further stipulate that adopting parents must be adults not older than 55 years of age.Marriage requirement: A married person who adopts a child shall do so jointly with his/her spouse.Income requirement: Prospective adoptive parents must have a stable residence, legitimate work and sufficient financial means.
