the Fatherless Foundation
the Fatherless Foundation
The Fatherless Foundation, Inc. was established in 2006 as a 501(C) 3, Not For Profit organization seeking to assist abandoned and orphaned children worldwide. The foundation raises funds to financially assist foster children and foster families, orphanages, orphans and adoptive parents seeking to open their homes and hearts to orphaned children. Through financial assistance the foundation assists in providing food, clothing, school supplies and medical care to orphans and foster children, as well as financial grants to adoptive parents seeking to adopt and needing financial assistance.
The foundation was founded by Michele L. Jackson, an adoption attorney practicing in Indianapolis, Indiana. After placing hundreds of orphaned children from around the world, Michele wanted to create an avenue that would allow others to help as well.
To date, the foundation has assisted orphans and adoptive parents in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Vietnam, Croatia, Ukraine, Samoan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as the United States.
