Little Menda Elizabeth Tipton is really little. She was born prematurely on June 9 and weighed just 2 pounds, 9 ounces. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Daniel Hatfield, Vice President for Student Services, and his wife Menda Sue. She is the daughter of

and her husband Dr. Jimmy Tipton, a pediatric resident at Kosair Children’s Hospital.

So many of us have been praying for little Menda, even before she was born. She is progressing well and gaining weight, but will spend several weeks in the hospital.

Join us in thanking God for little Menda, and for the incredible neonatal technologies that are helping her to survive and thrive. Pray also for Jimmy and Rachel, and for the Tipton and Hatfield families.

Expect a big celebration when little Menda Elizabeth finally comes home.
