US justice sluggish in rape case
Jan 27, 2012 21:35 Moscow Time
The American trial of Mr Michael Grismore, who is facing charges of raping his Russian-born adoptive daughter Ksenia Antonova, has been adjourned after the defence team won a ruling to have the DNA samples from the rape re-examined.
In a reaction from Moscow Friday, the Foreign Ministry’s chief human rights officer Konstantin Dolgov accused the American judicial authorities of deliberately dragging their feet over the Grismore case. He also said he expected the US Department of State to intervene.
