OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma family files a lawsuit against DHS on Monday.
Jonathan and Jamie Swim received deferred sentences on charges they allowed sexual abuse to happen in 2009.
Monday, their attorney found out about the problem, but the agency did not take action for several days.
They also claim DHS did not follow their own procedure when making a decision to remove children from their home.
The Swims say they want other people to learn from what happened to them. The Swims have five adopted children who are back in their home. They were separated for eight months.
