17-month-old had bruised ribs, lacerated liver, bruised spleen, more after beating

A 17-month-old Brooklyn tot was abused so savagely that his heart stopped and he had to be resuscitated twice, prosecutors charged Monday.

The shocking abuse little Kymel Oram suffered was laid bare in graphic details during the arraignment of his accused tormentor, Kysheen Oliver, 19.

As the prosecutor in Brooklyn Supreme Court listed all the toddler's injuries - bruised ribs, a lacerated liver, bruised spleen, buttocks and torso among other wounds - people in attendance gasped and some cursed.

Kymel's condition was a result of "repeated severe blows from an adult," said assistant district attorney Wilfredo Cotto.

Oliver was left home with Kymel while his girlfriend and the boy's foster mother, 32-year-old Teyuanna Cummings, was dropping off two older kids in school.

When she returned to her East New York home, Oliver told her that Kymel soiled her bed.

She later found the boy lying face down in vomit - but that still didn't convince her depraved boyfriend to call for help. He gave Kymel asthma medication and told Cummings to wait 20 minutes until the medication kicked in, but she called 911 anyway, the prosecutor said.

That may have saved the child, whose heart stopped, twice, according to court documents. He's still fighting for his life in Brookdale University Hospital.

Oliver was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was ordered held in protective custody without bail.
