TAVARES --
Two parents are out of jail after being charged for abusing their adopted son.
Police in Tavares say Mikelann and Steven Renwick took the 6-year-old to the hospital Wednesday because he was vomiting.
But according to the Orlando Sentinel, doctors say the boy also had several injuries to his head, chest, and legs.
The Renwicks told investigators the boy suffered from seizures and falls, but police say their story didn't add up.
The paper also reports the couple's other children told the Florida Department of Children and Families investigators the two would often lock the 6-year-old in the garage.
The Renwicks were charged with child abuse. They were released from jail after posting bond.
