MIDLAND — A Midland County teen accused of killing his brother and wounding three other family members is expected to tell a Circuit Court judge whether he will accept a plea deal Wednesday.
Prosecutor Michael D. Carpenter confirmed that he has made Steven J. Pribbernow Jr. an offer, but he declined to reveal any details.
Pribbernow is scheduled to be in Judge Jonathan E. Lauderbach’s courtroom at 4 p.m.. If he does not accept Carpenter’s offer, the 15-year-old will go to trial starting Tuesday.
Pribbernow is charged, as an adult, with an open count of murder in the death of Justin S. Pribbernow, 17, and three counts of assault with intent to murder his siblings Kevin D. Pribbernow, 15, and Kody C. Pribbernow, 13, and his stepfather Joshua M. Saylor, 32.
The charges stem from an Aug. 3 incident in which Pribbernow allegedly attacked his family with a knife at their Geneva Township home.
