Coleman rocked by killing

public

A quiet, rural neighborhood in Coleman was shocked in August after a teen was accused of going on a rampage, killing a family member and injuring three other relatives.

Steven Pribbernow, 15, is charged with one open count of murder and three counts of assault with intent to murder, all punishable by life in prison.

Pribbernow lived with his mother, Jessica Pribbernow; her husband, Joshua Saylor; and a mix of his mother's biological and adoptive children at 5180 McNally Road in Midland County's Geneva Township.

He is accused of killing adoptive brother Justin Pribbernow, 17; and stabbing Saylor and two of the couple's children, Kody, 13, and Kevin, 15.

Midland County Prosecutor Michael Carpenter charged Pribbernow as an adult because of the seriousness of the offenses.

His trial is scheduled to being Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.

It is slated to continue for six days in Midland County Circuit Judge Jonathan E. Lauderbach's Midland Courtroom.
