The journey to adopt will change your life forever. Not only are there a vast number of adoptive parents seeking the love of a child, but there are also thousands of homeless infants and children abroad desperately in need of a loving family. We are dedicated to helping to bring these parents and children together as a family.

The decision to build or expand your family through international adoption is one of the most important and life-changing decisions you will ever make. We understand the fears and frustrations adoptive parents face today. The Directors of Reaching Out are also adoptive parents who have faced many of the same obstacles and disappointments that may have led you to international adoption. Even more important though, we have experienced the incredible joys that adoption can bring.

Every day we have the opportunity to look into the eyes of our own children and know how very blessed we are to have them in our lives. We want you to know that it is because of them, that we strive to improve the lives of so many other children just like them. And because we have walked in your shoes as adoptive parents, we focus on providing very personal, caring service to every adoptive parent we work with. We believe in treating every family the way we wanted to be treated. By reaching out and getting to know you well, we feel as though we are becoming a part of your family. By reaching out to the children, we feel as though they are becoming a part of our family.

REACHING OUT THRU INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION, INC. is a non-profit child placement agency with extensive experience specializing exclusively in international adoption. We work with families in all states as well as US Citizens living abroad. We are here.....to help you find the path that leads to your child!

Because we have been in your shoes as adoptive parents, we strive to make all adoption costs as low as possible. You will find our programs to be among the lowest available anywhere. With each of our programs, we will make all travel arrangements for you and we will work to obtain the lowest travel costs possible. Once you arrive in the country you are adopting from, you will be met and fully assisted throughout every step of your journey to insure that each family receives the personalized, individual attention they deserve. Throughout your adoption journey we will be there for you.....whenever you need us.

RUSSIA

© Children available: Caucasian male and female infants from 3 months and up. Sibling groups are available in addition to adopting two non-related children at the same time. Adoptive families can specify the age and sex of the child preferred. * Waiting Child Program available for the selection of a waiting child with a possible special need or families who may be interested in an older child up to 14 years of age.

© Referral time & Travel: In most cases adoptive families receive their referral before their dossier is even submitted to Russia. If a referral has not been received at the time of dossier submission, a referral is usually issued within 2 - 3 months after submission of dossier. At least one parent is required to travel, stay is 12 to 21 days. * Escort program available.

Note: Healthy infants boys are available for immediate referral to paper ready families.

GUATEMALA

© Eligibility Requirements: There are no age restrictions, within reason. Couples as well as single male and females are also accepted. Single males are handled on a case by case basis, often with additional documentation required. Families with children are also accepted with no restrictions.

© Referral time/ Travel: In most cases adoptive families receive their referral before their dossier is even submitted to Guatemala. If a referral has not been received at the time of dossier submission, a referral is usually issued within 1 month after submission of dossier. At least one parent is required to travel. Length of Stay - 3 days.

Note: With this program, we have many healthy infants available for immediate referral to paper ready families.

CHINA

© Eligibility Requirements: Adoptive parents should be over the age of 35 and childless to adopt a healthy infant. At the present time, Chinese officials are more strictly enforcing the Chinese Adoptive Law which states:

" Adoptive parent(s) with children or under the age of 35 years of age must be open to a child with a minor correctable need." In addition, families over the age of 45 should be open to a slightly older child.

© Referral time/ Travel: Referrals are made directly by Chinese government authorities. The present processing time from dossier submission to referral is 8 months. At least one parent is required to travel. Length of stay is approximately 10 to 12 days.

WAITING CHILDREN PROGRAM

Could you open your heart to a slightly older child, much older child, a sibling group or a child with a medical need? If so, please ask about our Waiting Children Program in which photos, complete descriptions of waiting children and many times - videos are available for review by families with an approved application. We have many beautiful children available for immediate placement.

REACHING OUT ADOPTION LOAN PROGRAM

Because we understand the financial obligation facing adoptive parents, we are always looking for ways to help make the journey a little easier for you. For this purpose, we have established a low-interest, unsecured Adoption Loan Program to provide financing options for costs associated with adoption. This program has been established as an in-agency program. Unlike many financing options where you must contact the bank or lending institutions directly, we handle all applications directly through our office. This eliminates the legwork, the phone calls, searching for financial assistance and the high interest rates associated with credit cards. Applications and loan information is included in our information package. Just fill out the credit application and fax it to our office. Pre-approvals are given within 24 hours.

We have often found most adoption information packages to be a lot of hype and glory about the adoption agency, but very little information about all that is involved in adoption - from the paperwork to travel. We believe it is important for adoptive parents to understand what the adoption journey will be like from beginning to end. So, for that reason, we pride ourselves in providing all the information you could need to know about international adoption in our exceptionally detailed Adoption Information Package - right up front. In addition, when your dossier is submitted, you will receive our Travel Guide, which will walk you through each step of the journey you will soon be embarking on.
