Hearing set in Perry cases
A hearing to discuss motions in the case against a family accused of physically and sexually abusing two of their adopted children was set Tuesday.
Earnest, Windie and Elizabeth Perry are all charged with several counts of aggravated child abuse and especially aggravated kidnapping. Windie and Elizabeth Perry are also charged with several sex abuse charges.
They are scheduled to have a motions hearing June 11.
Tuesday, Frank J. Runyon, Windie Perry's attorney, filed a motion to withdraw as her counsel following a disagreement the two had while Windie Perry was incarcerated.
Gasaway denied the motion and counseled Windie Perry about being cooperative with her attorney.
"It's hard enough to represent people and even harder if they have an attitude," Gasaway told Windie Perry.
