It's official - EAC has secured an orphanage near Guatemala City
Margaret Cole and her sister Pat Whyte have just returned from Guatemala where they put the finishing touches on securing the "New Dawn Childrens Home". The orphanage is located in the lush countryside outside Guatemala City.

Dear EAC Families,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the New Dawn Childrens Home . It has been an exhausting endeavor, but will be worth every ounce of energy that it required. We are hoping to assist between 20 and 40 orphans in this home. I can't begin to tell you how rewarding this mission will be once these children are able to awaken with a sense of hope.
I would like to take a moment to thank each of you that donated to this mission. Believe me, without your generosity this dream could not have become a reality. Having achieved 25% of our $100,000 goal, we have been able to lay the foundation. It will take the continued effort on our part as well as the continued donations to provide all the necessities for these children. I hope that you will be able to further assist us and remain an integral part of this mission.
During my most recent visit we were able to compile a list of items that are still needed. We have been able to purchase a few beds and cribs with the donations we've already received, but we still need many more. In addition the following items are needed:
List
1. Staff: The orphanage will need a minimum of 12 former foster mothers. Please let us know if you would like us to consider hiring your child's foster mother for one of these positions.
2. Food: Providing these children with nutritional food and formula is expensive. We also need bottles, cups, plates, utensils, etc.
3. Health Care: The children in the orphanage will receive monthly check-ups. Along with preventative health care there may be a need for immediate medical attention. As we are aware health care is very expensive.

Again, thank you very much for your kindness and generosity and providing hope for these children

Mission Trips
We have had a number of requests to assemble a mission trip to our orphanage. At this time we are not in need of any cosmetic assistance, but we do need financial and material assistance. Currently, we have a few families reaching out to their church groups, civic groups, school organizations, etc. to assist with this mission.
