Sex Case 'Cover Up' Claim Over Jersey Care Home

JERSEY'S ex-health minister claims island government figures covered up sexual abuse at a care home.
Yesterday, Stuart Syvret produced a top-secret report into one abuse case which, he said, was clear evidence of a whitewash. The revelation came after police found the remains of a child at the former care home Haut de la Garenne.
Officers want to search six more sites identified by a dog trained to find human remains. Excavation on a bricked-up cellar at Haut de la Garenne was halted for a structural survey yesterday.
Syvret ran Jersey's health services until he was sacked after voicing concerns over child care.
He has repeatedly claimed there is a culture of cover-up and concealment on the island.
