Update on historic abuse investigation

Regarding the historic abuse investigation launched last week by the States of Jersey Police, we have become aware that some callers are querying whether the investigation team are only interested in abuse which is alleged to have happened at the two Island institutions we have named; the former Haut de la Garenne Children’s Home and the Jersey Sea Cadets.
The senior investigating officer, Lenny Harper, and the team working on the inquiry, would stress that they are interested in any information people might have about any abuse which occurred in institutions in Jersey.
If anyone has any information about historic abuse, whether they are a victim or a witness, we would urge them to call either the UK based dedicated NSPCC number or the locally based historic abuse investigation team.
