A 45-year-old man is due to appear in court in Jersey this morning, charged with sex offences against boys at the Haut de la Garenne children’s home.
Michael Aubin, originally from Jersey but now living in Southampton, is the third person to be charged as a result of the police investigation into allegations of child abuse on the island. Mr Aubin was a teenager when the alleged attacks took place and is believed to be a former resident of the home.
He is charged with one count of sodomy against a boy and two counts of indecent assault against two other boys alleged to have been committed between 1977 and 1980.
Jersey Police said that other charges might follow.
