WESTFIELD - Yana Kolenda, 11, of 3 Allen Ave., died Sunday, October 20, 2002. She was born in Russia and had lived in Florida before moving to Westfield last year. Yana was a fifth grade student at Holy Trinity School, a member of the school choir and a student at Daggett Gold Medal Gymnastics of Agawam. Yana was the daughter of Richard and Gienia (Baczek) Kolenda, and the sister of Toli Kolenda. She leaves her grandparents, Wladyslaw and Wladyslawa Kolenda of Westfield; her uncle, Edward Kolenda and his wife Jola; and her aunt, Mary Pierce and her husband Jay, all of Westfield; and aunt, Janina Ciepiela of Poland. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Church 335 Elm St. Westfield. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
