New Details Emerge with Suspected Child Molester

A Las Vegas father is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting his two adopted daughters. Police say he took dozens of pictures and video clips of the alleged abuse and stored them on his computer.

Now he faces nearly four dozen charges including 28 counts of using a minor in pornography and 14 counts of sexual assault with a victim under the age of 14.

The man was only caught after he took the computer storing the child porn to this Best Buy on Maryland Parkway for repairs. The Geek Squad computer techs found pictures of underage girls and called police.

He's locked up at the Clark County Detention Center where he'll face a judge on Friday. If convicted, he could face multiple life sentences in prison.

According to the charges filed by Metro investigators, two of the victims were the man's adopted daughters -- both under 14. The report also says the 44-year-old man forced the girls to take nude pictures in compromising positions. Officers also say he made video clips of himself raping a seven-year-old relative.

Neighbors couldn't believe the man they trusted could be accused of violating children with disgusting lewd acts.

"His own kids. I don't want to comment on that one, but I would like to punish him though. I would like to be the one that punishes him," said a neighbor.

Tim Vigil with LaptopDoctor.com has been repairing computers for years. He says finding porn on computers isn't uncommon, "Many time porn is on it. Usually it's between adults."

He just can't believe a father was dumb enough to video tape it and leave on his computer, "I was disgusted and sick to my stomach. I can't believe people are doing that stuff and then filming it."

Vigil says computer repair techs have an obligation to keep their clients personal activities private. But he also says the law requires them to report crimes.

"If you let it go, somehow they find out, you can be a party to it. Disseminating child porn could be a charge against you," he said.

Police were able to identify the suspect as the man on the video having sex with the girls because of a scar on his hand. Neighbors question how he could have gotten away with it.
