Americans come to Bucharest after orphans

After what they did lobby for the release of U.S. international adoptions from Romania, U.S. officials came to Bucharest to persuade authorities to give the green light adoptions.
American Congresmenul Robert Wexler, a member of the Committee on International Relations and member of the Democratic Subcommittee for Europe and emerging threats, has come to Romania to discuss the release of 100 cases submitted for adoption by U.S. families.
Case that has attracted attention is the family congresmenului Karen and Richard Springer U.S., which adopted a Romanian girl now 7 years and in 2004, and filed a request for adoption of the twin sisters for 5 years of the daughter.

"According to the Romanian legislation in force, as in other applications in the U.S., international adoption is not possible. Twins or are not taken now, they are kept for three years by a professional child," said Theodora Bertzi , State Secretary in the Romanian Office for Adoptions. This has had a meeting with Wexler congresmenul on this issue and declared that "the information that it holds were clearly distorted.
More specifically, no U.S. official knew that the girl was adopted in May and 5 other brothers besides the two twins or their parents do not consent to adoption dadusera as congresmenul said. (O.C.)

Dupa ce au facut lobby din SUA pentru deblocarea adoptiilor internationale din Romania, oficialii americani au venit la Bucuresti pentru a convinge autoritatile sa dea unda verde adoptiilor.
Congresmenul american Robert Wexler, membru al Comisiei pentru Relatii Internationale si membru democrat al Subcomitetului pentru Europa si Amenintari Emergente, a venit in Romania pentru a discuta deblocarea celor 100 de dosare de adoptie depuse de familiile din SUA.
Cazul particular care a atras atentia congresmenului este al familiei Karen si Richard Springer din SUA, care a adoptat o fetita romanca acum 7 ani si, in 2004, a depus iar cerere de adoptie pentru surorile gemene de 5 ani ale fetitei.

"Potrivit legislatiei romanesti in vigoare, ca si in celelalte cazuri de cereri din SUA, adoptia internationala nu este posibila. Gemenele nici nu sint adoptabile in prezent, ele fiind crescute de trei ani de zile de un asistent maternal profesionist", a declarat Theodora Bertzi, secretar de stat in cadrul Oficiului Roman pentru Adoptii. Aceasta a avut si o intrevedere cu congresmenul Wexler pe aceasta tema si a declarat ca "informatiile pe care acesta le detine au fost clar distorsionate".
Mai exact, oficialul SUA nu stia ca fata infiata mai avea si alti 5 frati in afara de cele doua gemene sau ca parintii nu-si dadusera acordul pentru adoptie, asa cum a declarat congresmenul. (O.C.) ?
