MADONNA AND (FOURTH) CHILD?

Now that she's about to be divorced, is Madonna planning to adopt another child? So says Star magazine, which reports that the singer will travel to Malawi with rumored newly divorced beau Alex Rodriguez early next year to pick up her daughter-to-be, Mercy James, 3, whose grandparents are too poor to care for her.

An unnamed source tells the mag that Madonna, 50, already has signed adoption papers. She adopted a son, David, from Malawi in 2007, but soon-to-be ex-husband Guy Ritchie reportedly was against adopting another child.

Madonna recently moved back to New York with her children, Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8 and David, 3.
