Janay Garrick from New Life Home Trust was today’s presenter. New Life Home Trust is based in Kenya in Africa. Their mission is to rescue abandoned babies putting a priority on babies who are HIV positive.
Jenay shared some startling facts. Worldwide, there are 2.1 million children who are HIV-positive. Ninety percent of these children are in sub-Saharan Africa. Only 4% of these children have access to lifesaving therapy.

New Life Home Trust wants to be a springboard for adoption. They work to facilitate adoption by age two. Ninety percent of adoptions occur right in Kenya; ten percent are international.
Rotarians can help by participating in the Child Sponsorship
Trust has opened up five rescue homes and are committed to working for the at-risk children in Africa. There are 161 children in their care. Twenty to thirty percent of the rescued babies are HIV-positive at admission. With the proper treatment and care, 75% convert to HIV-negative by age two.Program, mobilizing teams to come to Kenya, rescuing a children’s home or buying a vehicle. New Life Home Trust is open to other ideas and appreciates the consideration.
