Hello. We adopted our daughter from an orphanage just outside Hanoi
when she was not quite 3. We began her search last year when she was 14
(at her request). We had the name of her parents and her village, so
although her orphanage was no longer there, the searcher was able to
find her family quickly. We worked with Nhu Ngoc from Trails of

Hi Everyone -
I joined the group toward the end of '08 and wanted to introduce myself
and to inquire about searching for my daughters birth family in Vietnam.
I adopted my daughter in 2/07 from the Viet Tri orphanage in Phu Tho
Vietnam (North of Hanoi).
She was abandoned so I have limited information regarding her birth and
no information regarding her birth family.
I would appreciate hearing from other families with children adopted
fron Vietnam that are either searching currently or have completed
their search...particularly for those who have also adopted abandoned
children.
My daughter is now 27 months and my thoughts are that sooner rather
then later may be the best opportunity begin searching.
