Humanitarian Aid
It is our hope that our Adoptive Parents get involved in helping by donating, and finding donors to fund
humanitarian aid projects in Ethiopia. There are several options to consider.
First, we ask that you consider ongoing assistance to the orphanage that provided care for your child
or children. If you are interested in assisting with orphanage projects, please get in touch with the
office after you adoption has been completed.
We are also involved in larger projects such as building schools and orphanages, as well as
educational and agricultural projects.
Your donations to Illien Adoptions International, Inc. can be
sent after the adoption is completed
and are tax deductible to you as the donor. If you or your family
or friends want to donate to any projects during the course of your adoption, you may make donations
through Illien Foundation for Children, Inc. Your adoption fees for services are
not tax deductible.
Your travel to Ethiopia to escort your child home will help you to understand the reason for our
humanitarian aid and you will be able to see how your donations can be used to make a difference in
the lives of children who remain in Ethiopia.
