I have used Vali and Mariana Nas to search for our 2 birthfamilies in two
different areas of Romania. Both searches were successful and I was happy with
the information and pictures we received. Vali is a good guy. It was not
that expensive, but it depends on where your birthfamily is located.
The first time Vali and Mariana went to look for my son's birthfamily (2004),
they were only able to make contact with great grandma, an aunt and uncle.
Birthmom and new husband were away working (it was harvest time). They
tried again a year later, but the road was too muddy to drive on as they are way
out in the middle of no where. This past June, they tried yet again and a new
road had been built and they were able to make contact with birthmom
(finally!) and we got pictures of her and her family. I was not charged for this nor
told he was going to try again (what a wonderful surprise!).
I definitely would recommend Vali and Mariana. My only complaint is that
sometimes getting the report from them is slow. You will get the pictures
right away as he posts them on a site like Flickr, but getting the report and
family info takes a lot longer.
