Hi Lesley,
It's very good if you are up for action. It doesn't matter if it's not a big number for the UK. The important thing is to act jointly.
In Italy we don't know the exact number of beople without a match. I reckon it's about 100 people, but it's difficult to know because we are spread over 7 different associations. For the last initiative(a letter to Italian institutions) we had about 30 families joining in.
There are about 80 couples in Spain and a few in Norway and in the States. There are aso the families with files at the CDO: 8 in Italy, 11 in Spain, 3 in France (plus 5 with a match but non file at CDO).
Please, do enquire about exact nummers and if you want start contacting the poeple you know.
We want to wait for a few days because a meeting has been called for tomorrow by the Italian Adoption Commission with the associations dealing with Nepal. We hope the meeting will give us some information. If no information comes out of it, then we'll start preparing a letter to the European Union, which will be signed by the couples and also sent to the involved governments.
We'll be in touch. Regards,
renata

Hi Renata
We are probably small fish here in Uk and speaking for myself feel we need to join with others to make an impact. As you probably know we dont have agencies and our papers go directly from our government, department for children and schools and families.  I am going to contact them tomorrow and find out exact numbers. Iam in direct contact with 3 others so myself included that makes 4 of us ready to be matched.
What are the numbers in Italy and France and US
Lesley

Hello.
I'd like to know how meny people out there have chosen Nepal to adopt
but haven't been matched because of the suspention.
In Italy there are lots of families in this situation and we are trying
to understand if it's the same in other countries, in order to join
efforts. I would be grateful for any feedback.
Thanks,
Renata
