The Platform for adoptive family in Nepal reported yesterday that its files for the allocation of a child in this Asian country have been completely paralyzed after the resignation of the Maoist Nepali government last September 18, which affects the applications of 171 families Spanish.
During the reading of a communique, the affected and spokesman of the Platform, Marisol Carmona, said that the first families traveled to Nepal to sign the adoption more than a year ago and the latest last April. "During these months, the emotional ties between parents and children have already been strengthened," he stressed.
The families met the legal requirements for adoption, both in Spain and Nepal, but since April, when it changed the Nepali Minister for Children, the files have been paralyzed because the minister initiated the drafting of guidelines regulating completion of the current rules.

La Plataforma de Familias Adoptantes en Nepal denunció ayer que sus expedientes para la asignación de un menor en este país asiático han quedado totalmente paralizados tras la dimisión de los maoístas del Gobierno nepalí el pasado 18 de septiembre, hecho que afecta a las solicitudes de 171 familias españolas.
Durante la lectura de un comunicado, la afectada y portavoz de la Plataforma, Marisol Carmona, relató que las primeras familias viajaron hasta Nepal a firmar la adopción hace más de un año y las últimas el pasado mes de abril. "Durante estos meses, los lazos afectivos entre padres e hijos ya se han fortalecido", recalcó.
Las familias cumplieron los requisitos legales para la adopción, tanto en España como en Nepal, pero desde abril, fecha en la que cambió el ministro de Infancia nepalí, los expedientes se han paralizado debido a que el ministro inició la redacción de unas directrices reguladoras que completaran la normativa vigente.
