China Center of Adoption Affairs Talked with Officials from British Embassy in Beijing

On August 6, 2008, Director General Lu Ying and Deputy Director General Chu Xiaoying of China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) had a further talk with Rosemary Clarke, Director Consular Services of British Embassy about issues on adoptions by British citizens habitually resident in China. Relevant staff members from the Administrative Office and Adopter’s Eligibility Review Department were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Lu also enquired about issues on adoptions by British citizens habitually resident in a third country. Ms Clarke agreed to confirm with the Department of Children, School and Families and inform CCAA in time.
Both parties agreed that this meeting has made substantial progress based on the previous one, exchanged the solutions of detailed issues and planned to discuss later about other relevant issues in depth.
