Børn i transit i Etiopien
Children leaving the street
The ca. 150 m2 house is on a smaller because surrounded by a high and solid masonry. There is a small lawn, there are shrubs, small trees and flowerbeds. Orphanage approved for 15 children. Pt. live here 10 - the youngest child is only 1 month old - the oldest is 3 ½ years. Many of the children immediately after the birth abandonment of single and poor Ethiopian women. Either on the street or delivered at a state orphanage. Even more children exited on the street.
Good normering
Orphanage headed by Mrs. Almaz. AC Børnehjælps primary contact Yetenayet (Yeti) Ayele has an office in a sidebygning to hovedhuset. In addition to Mrs.. Almaz and Yeti is 8 barnepiger employee, and from Monday to Tuesday, there is a nurse at home. Barnepigerne working in two teams alternately. Only a døgnvagt as a day off.
10 children waiting
The Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Addis Ababa (MOLSA) brings children in the proposal from institutions throughout the country. When the children are chosen to Danish adoption, in addition to AC Børnehjælps orphanages. Now waiting for all 10 children at that MOLSA must consent to their Danish adoptive parents can download them or have them escorted to Denmark.
Healthy scepticism
Out of the door titter a curious and fnisende boy - Hailies. He vinker, take my hand and pull me into the room. There is a great legetæppe on the floor. A few barnepiger playing with 4 children. They laugh, but then suddenly facing a large, pink damemenneske middle of it all, forstummer latteren. Only after a space sometimes seems my indstuderede play-stuetricks. Tegist Wak surrender themselves first - she klukker mischievous. So dare Matheos a smile, as Alemayehu, Matheos and the little Fruit. OK, she is probably flinkere than she appears, so we sing just one song. They say it is not, but I think that is what they think - the young. At least the singing for me, and dance and laugh. Beautiful children! If only they were my all.
Serious joy
I picture of each and every one of them to their parents. It strikes me while I knipser loose that these pictures will be studied with more serious joy, than any photos I have taken before. I pray that the technique and the light is with me.
The small wakes
In addition to the living room, three bedrooms in the house - one of the very small, one of the bigger children and one for any. sick children. The five small sleeping to noon in their caged beds. After a time rumsterer Hirut in his bed. She pludrer and laughs and is now taken up. Once a nanny to come. So wake small Natnael of only one month, Eskinder and Gelila also. Thomas draws on, but in the end he also wakes. There switched nusses and given bottle. I get knipset with my camera. Pictures, which will forge links across the many, many kilometres, which still divides the new families ad.
A good feeling inside
After a few hours, I thank. I have a good idea before in. Well, all orphanages something bad - but it must be in transit before we can come home to your new parents, as is AC Børnehjælps Børnehjem in Addis Ababa certainly a good and loving place to be in.

Vagten lukker porten. Her bliver stille. Børn forlades på gaden God normering 10 børn venter Sund skepsis Alvorlig glæde De små vågner En god fornemmelse indeni | |
