Laatst gewijzigd: | Bogota, 26 October 2003 Dear Guido, Jolein and Isabel, It is always a pleasure to hear from you and to know that through the wonderful work you have been doing our FANA families in Holland will be together and doing activites to help FANA with the needs we have daily in caring for the needy ones. I think that once you will be able to contact most families that through FANA became a family there will be new and fresh ideas from you and the rest of the families that you will need to take into consideration. Each country has its own culture, customs and ways of doing things. The situation in FANA and in the other adoption entities in Colombia has been difficult because the ICBF is telling the birth mothers not to release their children for adoption, but to keep them, they are making alot of pressure to them and there are less and less babies available for adoption. We are very concerned and have no control of these new regulations the ICBF is putting into practice. There will be more abandoned children in the streets of Bogota and in the other cities and also less children having the great possibility to have wonderful adoptive families like you all are. We will let you know how things will continue to happen especially in Bogota. Like we always tell you if there is anything we can do from FANA to help you let us know. Remember that we publish nice Christmas cards that maybe the families will like to buy and send to their relatives and friends, so we could send you as many dozens as you will like. Give our love to Isabel and warm greetings to you and thank you for everything you are doing to have Friends of FANA Holland a reality. Love and Hugs, Flor Angela Rojas FANA |
