Intercountry Adoption Congress to Host Book Signing Event Author and Former Foster Care Survivor Lawrence P. Adams to Share Life Experiences

First-time author Lawrence P. Adams will recount his horrowing experiences growing up in the foster care system as he reads excerpts from his book during a reading on August 3, 2004 in Alpharetta, Georgia.

ALPHARETTA, GA (PRWEB) July 23, 2004 -- The Intercountry Adoption Congress (IAC) will host a reading and book signing of first-time author Lawrence P. Adams? book Lost Son? A Bastard Child's Journey of Hope, Search Discovery and Healing on August 3 at 7 p.m at the IAC headquarters in Alpharetta.

In Lost Son, Adams chronicles his heartwrenching journey as he wandered through the revolving door of the Michigan foster care system. By age 11, Adams was a foster care veteran having been moved 14 times since the day he was born. His story recounts his struggles to find a sense of belonging and the search for his birth parents, heritage, and roots.

In addition to being an author, Adams has had a career in the private and public sector. Currently, he is volunteering as an Advocacy Ambassador with IAC, a human rights watchdog organization for orphaned and abandoned children worldwide.
