I used to love watching Johnny Carson on the old “Tonight Show.”  I’m sure many of you recall that show as well.  I remember watching him one evening when Ed McMahon, his trusted co-host and sidekick, asked Johnny what he’d like on his tombstone after he died.  Johnny’s reply was that he would like it to read, “I’ll be right back!” That, by the way, was a line he used often before going into a commercial break during his show.  Anyway, it got me to thinking about you and your life in a rather interesting way.  So my question for you to ponder today is this:  If you died today, what three things would you hope people would say about you?  I realize this is a not necessarily an easy or pleasant thought but I believe it is an exercise worth the journey.  Would you want them to say you were a great friend, a wonderful spouse, a caring parent, a thoughtful person, a great employee, etc.?

These three things don’t have to be true at the moment because I’m simply asking you what three things you “hope” they would say.  After you decide on those three comments, next ask yourself this question:  Have you earned and do you presently deserve those three accolades?  If you feel that you have not earned all of those tributes and those things are not true presently, why not make today the day you begin living the life that deserves that legacy? It’s never too late and you are always worth the effort!

Wishing You Great Health,
