Now they've really done it.
The sharks of Amici dei Bambini, an Italian adoption agency which already came up in an earlier discussion, are going to hold an annual meeting in August, in their never ending promotion of adoption. One of the seminars is about demystifying the role of natural families as can be read in the description below.
WHAT?????
Yes, with the financial aid of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amici dei Bambini, prepared a study which they can use to keep families seperated, all to achieve higher adoption numbers. In the mean time they make a whopping amount of money, drawing papers that must give their work legitimacy.
With the help of two different translation engine I tried my best to translate the Italian text into English. Since I don't speak Italian, I may have made a couple of mistakes, but their intentions are pretty clear.

We address the myth of the RELATION BETWEEN BLOODTIES and the myth of the family of origin, an uncovered topic, at the occasion of our work carried out for the Conference "Senzi Figli Senzi - from rights to justice: families and young people on the path of reception, held in Bulgaria in 2006. A study we have developed in recent months thanks to a research financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is an occasion to finally inquire, through the contribution of experts and protagonists, on the relationship between family of origin, parental responsibilities and protection of the minor.Will it be possible to "demythify" the myth?
Convegno "LEGAMI: IL MITO DELLA FAMIGLIA DI ORIGINE. LA RELAZIONE DI SANGUE TRA VINCOLI E OPPORTUNITÀ
Riprendiamo il mito della famiglia di origine, tema scoperto in occasione dei lavori svolti per il Convegno "Senza Figli Senza - dai diritti alla giustizia: famiglie e giovani nei percorsi dell'accoglienza" tenutosi a Bellaria nel 2006. Tema a noi caro che abbiamo sviluppato nel corso dei mesi grazie ad un progetto di ricerca finanziato dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri. Sarà questa l'occasione di indagare ulteriormente, attraverso il contributo di esperti e protagonisti,sul rapporto fra famiglia di origine, responsabilità genitoriali e tutela del minore. Sarà possibile "demitizzazione" del mito?
