Woman who hired Casey Parsons as surrogate speaks out
SALISBURY, N.C. —The woman who hired Casey Parsons to be a surrogate mother said she would not be surprised if the Parsons murdered Erica Parsons.
The woman, who hid her identity, told TV host Dr. Phil in the second of his two-part series on Erica, "I am afraid of what this woman is capable of."
After watching the episodes, the woman told Channel 9 that seeing Casey Parsons for the first time since the legal battle over the surrogate baby was closure for her and her family.
"Honestly, the main reason I wanted to go on the show is to prove that they have zero credibility," she told Eyewitness News in a phone interview.
The woman said she first met Parsons in 2001, when she paid her to be a surrogate for a baby boy.
But the woman said that six weeks later, Casey Parsons told her she had miscarried and lost the child.
Parsons denied that when confronted by Dr. Phil and said, "No, she told me she wanted to abort the baby because they had done selection ... The doctor dropped the sample on the floor, and they was unable to complete that, and she was afraid it would be a girl."
The woman told Channel 9 that Parsons was lying.
"I have four children, and I'm a great mom. My oldest is a daughter, and I adore my daughter," she said.
The woman said she is worried about what happened to Erica.
"I don't feel like that little girl is OK," she said.
