NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - "What are you doing, making a drive-through?'' joked one customer of Hess Gas Station on Providence Road Tuesday afternoon as employees swept up shards of glass and threw away trash cans filled with crushed soda cans.

At 3:12 p.m., a Dodge Durango, driven by

Linda Mayotte of Laura Lane, Whitinsville

, drove through the right, front window of the Hess station, Northbridge Police said. The station on the corner of Providence Road and Church Street Extension also houses a Dunkin Donuts and All-American Grill.

Several customers and employees were in the store at the time of the accident, but police said they and the driver were not injured.

Employees were not allowed to talk about the accident. Lorrie Hecker, a spokesperson for Hess, said that policy is for the safety of its employees and the convenience of its customers.

Hecker said the station remains open and repairs will be made as soon as possible.

Information on the cause of the accident and whether charges will be filed against the driver was not available.
