returned to Liberia :(

I am so saddened about this. I read about it in Kathryn George's book, "The Child Catchers", and I was shocked. :(
We have adopted children who have come from "dissolution/disruption". 1 from Russia and 1 from Ukraine. Both girls are doing
fantastic.

I so wish for those who choose to walk the path of adoption, that they would educate themselves from those who have SUCCESSFULLY walked before them. I wish they would be pro active and look introspectively at their own behaviors, ideas, assumptions, fears, and preconceived parenting ideas, and be prepared to THROW THEM OUT THE WINDOW in order to reach their children with deep, unconditional love that will cause their child to respond in a positive way. (and it does take time!)

I hate it that my sweet girls were disrupted. But I am happy they are my daughters now.
Our youngest daughter was finally able to be reunited with her Sister who is no longer in the former adoptive home, last weekend. It was a precious time for both of them. Unfortunately, their brother is still there. :( I pray that when he becomes of age, they will all be reunited once again.

Children are people! They have thoughts and feelings and ideas and trauma, and as adoptive parents, part of our job is to lovingly help them sort things out so they can move onto successful adulthood!
Sending them back? Makes me MAD!
