Children adopted by Anya James
Six children adopted by Anya James were physically abused by their adoptive mother. The children were confined in small rooms with alarms on doors and windows to alert James if they tried to escape. They had to use kitty litter buckets as toilets. James homeschooled the children and allowed only minimal contact with the outside world. The children were malnourished because James severely restricted their diets, police say. Their growth was stunted to the extent they didn't go through puberty as teenagers, and some children had downy hair cover (Lanugo) due to starvation.
Between 2000 and 2010, James received $750,000 in adoption subsidies from the State of Alaska.

Only the incompetent pass homestudy's
Who knows what religious cult she belongs too? Another example of how incompenent morons adopt and mistreat children. Where are her neighbors or friends? Make her accountable.
this is what the RAD cult teachs as parenting
Dop Chien... not religion required here... pick up a copy of attachment parenting.... this is what the teach as good parenting methods... I am not kidding...
why not shut down the RAD cult... make them accountable.
Shut it down!
I agree, the RAD cult HAS to be shut down. All forms of child abuse HAS to be shut down.
As an adoptive parent, I plea with all adoptive parents that this form of therapy does NOT work. It is cruel and damages the children.
Do not get lulled into a sense of security by scrupulous and manipulative therapists tricking you into that this is in the best interest of the child. It just doesn't work and in the end, does more harm than good.
I urge you to do your research, ask for references, ask other families what type of therapies worked for them, the pros and cons, talk to adult adoptees who have been through therapies, seek their insight. Go visit the therapists and interview them. There are MANY therapies out there that are not humiliating nor dangerous...nor just plain stupid to do to another human being. Be with your child every step of the way and protect them from harm. Yes, it is the child's journey but it is up to you to be there for them.
