New trouble for N.Y. teen

A teenager taken in by a New York City pollceman who saved htm from a suicide jump ln 1981 was under observation at Bellevue Hospital Tuesday after threatening to blow himself up with a fake bomb.
Micheal Buchanan, 18, was found by police in a vacant Brooklyn store. No charges were filed. He was visited at the hospital Tuesday night by officer Wllllam Fox, who began steps to adopt the teen alter talking him out ot jumping off a Bowery flophouse in August 1981.
Fox told he went to the hospital "like any father who has a child with a sickness — you stick by him until he gets better."
Alter the 1981 incident, the youth went to live with Fox. but five months later Buchanan's mother, who lives In Texas, got ln touch with him and persuaded him to move to her home. After four months, he went back to Fox.
