Chester, VT. — Under the guidance of the Ethiopian Adoption Project, 50 Ethiopian orphans, mainly from the village of Adigrat, will be joining their adoptive families in the United States. The Associated Press reported that the orphans age ranged between 2 and 10 years and are mostly being adopted by residents of New Hampshire and Vermont.

Jayne Gallagher, director of the Ethiopian Adoption Project plans to continue the adoption project next year and attempt to increase the number of adoptions. The project is being supported by two adoption agencies in the United States, Adoption Advocates and Adoptive Families for Children.
