Mary House - Director for Outreach

Mary has enjoyed working in international adoption for the past 10 years. She and her husband had already raised two biological children when they adopted two older children in 1999. Even though she is almost an “empty nester” once again, Mary continues to take great joy in bringing children home to waiting parents.

Dawn Vander Kolk - Homestudy Worker and Education Provider Dawn has worked for EAAC since 2003. Prior to that, she had experience working in the child welfare system. Dawn provides homestudy and post adoption service, teaches preadoptive parenting classes and consults with families experiencing attachment or other adjustment problems. Dawn is the adoptive mother of two children born in Russia. She feels passionately about the blessings that adoption can bring to both parents and children.

Sandra DaSilva - Homestudy and Post Adoption Worker Sandra has been working with adoptive families in the homestudy and post adoption phases since 2003. Spanish is Sandra’s first language and she is especially helpful to adoptive families of similar background. Sandra is the busy mother of two little boys and brings a great deal of insight to all of her families.

Julie Hetherington - Homestudy and Post Adoption Worker

Julie feels that working in international adoption is truly what she is meant to do. She finds it most rewarding to see families being created through adoption. But most of all, Julie loves international adoption because she likes having a part in connecting orphaned children with loving families so they will have a chance for a life filled with the promise of love and opportunities that they otherwise may have never had. Julie has been working in international adoption for more than 10 years.

Delyn Duggins - Homestudy and Post Adoption Worker

Delyn has been an adoption social worker for several years and she recently joined the ranks of adoptive moms herself. Delyn and her family live in the Bloomington-Normal area and serve our EAAC families there.
