PGN to claim 19 notaries
The Congress received a list of professionals involved in anomalies, which will be investigated by the MP.

The Attorney General's Office asked the Public Ministry (MP) to investigate 19 notaries whose adoption records contain irregularities.
The list of professionals, as well as the number of files and description of the alleged anomalies was sent to Congresswoman Anabella De Leon by the National Council for Adoptions (CNA). Meanwhile, Baudilio Portillo Merlos, head of the PGN, explains that although it is asking for the intervention of investigating, does not mean that notaries are guilty, which will be determined by prosecutors. Víctor Hugo Mejicanos Castañeda, head of the Trafficking of Children and Adolescents in the PGN, confirming the request made by him.

For example, the notary
Alfonso Cacacho Raldathree processes is indicated by irregular.
In one, was the act of consent of a mother who spoke no Spanish, who was not helped with an interpreter. Moreover, the mother who allegedly gave his consent to give her child up for adoption, was a minor. It was found that the forms of the other process had different pictures. In the third case, it was not the mother's consent to be surrendered their child for adoption.

Luis Roberto Aragón Hernández', who confirms this, but does not accept that the processes are irregular in their sole responsibility.
Another notaries listed in the roster is
Jorge Mario Sum Santiago, also with three processes. One of them, having handled an adoption in which it was found that the girl had taken stolen his mother in March 2007 (see: DNA test confirms identity of girls).
The second case relates to the documentation contained inaccurate data and the address of who cares for the child .Moreover, in another case there is doubt about the identification of the mother. The accused says that cases have been clarified.

El Congreso recibió una lista que implica a los profesionales en anomalías, las cuales serán investigadas por el MP.

La Procuraduría General de la Nación pidió al Ministerio Público (MP) que investigue a 19 notarios cuyos expedientes de adopción contienen irregularidades.
La lista de los profesionales, así como el número de los expedientes y la descripción de las supuestas anomalías fue enviada a la diputada Anabella De León por el Consejo Nacional de Adopciones (CNA). Mientras, Baudilio Portillo Merlos, titular de la PGN, explica que si bien se está pidiendo la intervención del ente investigador, no significa que los notarios sean culpables, lo cual será determinado por los fiscales. Víctor Hugo Mejicanos Castañeda, jefe de la Unidad de Trata de Personas de la Niñez y Adolescencia de la PGN, confirma el proceso de petición hecha por su persona.

El documento, que consta de 6 folios, incluye los nombres de 19 notarios que presentaron expedientes de adopción con irregularidades que motivaron dudas ante la PGN y el CNA
Por ejemplo, el notario Alfonso Cacacho Ralda es señalado por tres procesos irregulares.
En uno de ellos, fue faccionada el acta de consentimiento de una madre, que no hablaba español, a quien no se le auxilió con un intérprete. Además, la madre que supuestamente dio su consentimiento para otorgar a su hijo en adopción, era menor de edad. Se detectó que los formularios del otro proceso tenían fotografías distintas. Y en el tercer caso, no se tenía el consentimiento de la madre para que su hijo fuera entregado en adopción.
Cacacho no niega las anomalías, pero hace ver que ya fueron solventadas. Además, recalca que su función ha sido estrictamente notarial, pues los casos “son del abogado Luis Roberto Aragón Hernández”, quien lo confirma, aunque no acepta que los procesos irregulares sean de su exclusiva responsabilidad.
Otro de los notarios mencionados en la nómina es Jorge Mario Sum Santiago, también con tres procesos. Uno de ellos, por haber tramitado una adopción en la que se comprobó que la niña adoptada había sido robada a su madre en marzo de 2007 (lea: Examen de ADN confirma identidad de niña ).
El segundo caso refiere que en la documentación figuran imprecisiones en datos como la dirección de quien cuidaba al menor. Además, en otro caso existen dudas sobre la identificación de la madre.
El sindicado asegura que los casos ya fueron aclarados.
