Kevin Johnson



12-year-old boy died while in the care of Barbara and Fred D. Johnson II, daughter and son-in-law of a couple who had adopted Kevin and in 2000 but passed away a few years later. A weighted helmet, long wooden paddle and severe beatings were used to discipline the boy. Illinois DCF began an abuse investigation in April, 4 months before Kevin was beaten to death.
