Greene County coroner's investigators said Monday a preliminary autopsy shows that the 3-year-old son of Timothy and Kathleen Carroll of Cedarville died Sunday of natural causes.

Noah Carroll is the third of the family's 10 adopted children to die within the past two months. The couple faces involuntary manslaughter charges following the death of their daughter, Hannah, 6, on Sept. 21. In October, the couple was indicted by a Greene County grand jury, based upon prosecutors' claims that the Carrolls did not seek appropriate medical help for Hannah after she spilled household bleach on herself.

After Hannah's death, the Columbus adoption agency responsible for 3-week-old Chloe asked a judge to return the infant, while officials completed their investigation.

Chloe, who was born with only a brain stem in her skull, died while in the custody of a Columbus foster family on Oct. 19, shortly after she was separated from the Carrolls.

Caseworkers at the agency, Adoption by Gentle Care, refused to discuss Chloe's case, citing confidentiality, and would not reveal where the infant died.
