Attorney Denies Nanny's Abuse Claims

A former nanny for a man accused of child abuse is speaking out on behalf of her former employer.

Brian Kloosterman’s nanny, Cynthia Valez, accused him of abusing one of his five adopted children. Valez said she had footage of Kloosterman snapping one of his sons in the face with a pair of underwear and shoving him on a bed.

Valez also told police that the family’s former nanny, Alice Martin, was fired after she confronted Kloosterman and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Schreiner, for abusive behavior.

Kloosterman’s attorney said that is not true.

"There were false reports that a prior nanny, Alice Martin, indicated that there was actual abuse in the Kloosterman home," defense attorney Rajin Joshie said. "Alice contacted the Kloostermans and indicated that they are a loving caring family and she has offered her support and prayers behind them."

Kloosterman has been ordered not to have any contact with his children. Schreiner is only allowed to be around her children during the day and under supervision.

Joshie said Valez’s tape shows a moment taken out of context. He is asking that people not pass judgment until the entire story comes out. HE did not specify when the family would release their side of the story.
