Woman Gets Life For Killing 2-Year-Old Adopted Daughter in Marion County

A North Florida woman has been sentenced to life in prison for killing her 2-year-old adopted daughter.

A Marion County judge sentenced 38-year-old Violet Ray on Tuesday. She was found guilty by a jury in May of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and child neglect.

The Ocala Star-Banner reported that Faith Ray died of a lethal head injury in December 2008.
