Adoption program scheduled

public

Port Angeles Evening News

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ripley will present a program on Korean adoption 8 p.m., Wednesday, as part of a series of public information meetings put on by the Concerned Parents for Children group.

The Ripleys will show slides of the Holt Adoption Program, an Oregon based agency which places children from their Korean Orphanage. The color slides include pictures of children waiting for adoption and others on the happy but frightening trip to meet their new families.

The Ripleys will also discuss their own recent adoption through the agency. Ann, a lovely 19-year-old Korean-Negro, joined their family in September to bring the number of the Ripleys' natural, foster and adopted children to seven.

The public is welcome to attend this meeting, which will be held at 8 p.m. in the Lutheran Church. Following the program, refreshments will be served and a short business meeting will be held. There is no admission charge.
