MEET OUR STAFF

Maria Rivera is the Director of Children of the World, Inc. She was born and educated in the Dominican Republic. She is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish. For the last five years, Maria has managed all Children of the World operations. Maria has traveled extensively and has a keen understanding of foreign cultures.

Sara Smith is a Family Coordinator. Sara began working in the Adoption field in 2001. As a result of her own personal experience with infertility and adoption, Sara began working for an Adoption Agency educating, guiding and supporting adoptive couples on their road to adoption. With an emphasis on International adoption, Sara provided forever families for children from China, Guatemala, Russia and Kazakhstan. In response to the ever changing status of International countries, Sara is expanding her outreach to help families in other countries as well. Sara is a member of Adoptive Families of America, Inc., and the National Council for Adoption. She has shared the joy of the adoption experience with several adoptive couples over the years.
