Media update from Haut de la Garenne - Courtyard excavation begins

RELEASED TO MEDIA ON FRIDAY 28 MARCH 2008 AT 11.51 AM

An update for you from Haut de la Garenne:

• Pool filming/photography is still planned to go ahead at 1.15 pm today for the second cellar only. No other filming/photos apart from the 2nd cellar will be done today.
• At Haut De La Garenne, work continues in a number of areas.
• The area of the courtyard where the dog indicated is being excavated and examined and information is being obtained. I don't have any more details on this at the moment.
• We intend to start work on the bath and the drains leading from the bath soon - in the next day or two... after that, we will be moving onto the 3rd and 4th cellar rooms.
• The enquiry team continue to interview victims and witnesses and this is happening in Jersey and the UK.
• Thank you - I will find out if work is going to continue over the weekend or not.
